Think Deb Oveland and the first vision, impression, thought, that passes through your mind, at the speed of sound, and possibly light, is Maria. Improbable? Certainly not! Maria, the high spirited nun-to-be in the beautiful movie, The Sound of Music, perfectly portrays the Founder of SpeciaLives, Deb Oveland, or vice versa.
Let's compare. Both characters want more than anything in the world to do the right thing. They respect all beings, with inclusivity, hold a laser sharp focus on their many goals, with the anticipatory mind of a seasoned critical care nurse, or, nun. Above all, most importantly, they want to empower others, thoughtfully so, with kindness and mindfulness. The 'greatest hunger of the human soul is to be understood,' per Victor Frankl's writings. Add 'to be accepted' per the hundreds of voices, and thousands of eyes, that have begged attention from the souls of Maria, and, Deb. Their goal is to understand, accept, and deliver, all that their targeted customers want, in their own community, and need, before it is even known to the customer.
And, at the end of the day, the day has to have been fun, happy. Chronic happiness will, overcome sorrow, self-pity, or self flagellation for anyone, and is inclusive. I ask you, dear reader, how do you solve a problem like Maria, or Deb, or do you? Or, is it better to understand those like Maria, Deb, or Lizzie, Chris, Maggie, Amelia? Is it better yet, to understand their vision? Your turn now, dear reader, while you hold a moonbeam in your hand, please share.
